ISI Demolition launched in 1990 with the vision that our hand shake is our word. From large projects like BWI airport to our second location in Florida, we’ve stayed true to our core values throughout our expansion.

March 12, 1990

Incorporated in the state of Maryland

March 1990

Our first project, St. Paul’s School, was contracted by Lewis Contractors for $72,800

June 1991

Finished first full fiscal year with 25 projects awarded

January 2002

Established a business partnership to provide demolition and abatement services as a package.

April 2002

Awarded our 1,000th project

June 2002

BWI Terminal Expansion contracted by Whiting-Turner Contracting Company for $2,773,500

August 2007

Joined the Baltimore Chapter of Associated Builders & Contractors

August 2009

Awarded our 2,000th project

April 2010

First project outside of the Mid-Atlantic: Wonders of Wildlife Museum located in Springfield, Missouri contracted by Whiting-Turner Contracting Company

November 2011

Launched our in-house robotics (Brokk) division

December 2012

Awarded our largest base contract to date; $10,550,000 for Hershey by Kinsley Construction, Inc.

November 2014

Awarded our 3,000th project

May 2015

First contract award in Florida; Disney Springs Restaurants contracted by Whiting-Turner Contracting Company

May 2015

Expanded to a second location in Florida

August 2015

Our fleet expanded to over 200 vehicles

June 2016

Added in-house engineering capabilities to our growing list of services provided

June 2016

ISI donated funds, equipment, and manpower to the building of Angel Park in Perry Hall, MD

June 2016

Finished the fiscal year with the most number of projects awarded in a year: 314

April 2018

Awarded our 4,000th project

January 2018

Travelled to Tennessee for the start of three major projects with Whiting-Turner Contracting Company worth approximately $14 million

March 2019

Interior Specialists, Inc. rebrands to ISI Demolition

May 2019

Awarded substantial project at well-known theme park in Florida

June 2019

Recieved our first ranking in Demolition & Recycling International’s Top 100 List. ISI ranked 75th in the world.

August 2019

ISI Demolition helped sponsor a mission trip to Zimbabwe, Africa to bring food, clothing, and water to villages.

September 2020

Added first roll-off truck to our fleet in order to advance our in-house hauling and salvage capabilities

October 2020

Launched a dedicated Wrecking Division when awarded the Curtis Avenue project by FCL Builders

May 2020

Launched our in-house Saw Cutting Division

June 2020

Awarded the JHU- 555 Pennsylvania Avenue project by Clark Construction Group which turned into our highest contract amount to date – over $12.1 million

June 2020

ISI Demolition ranks 42nd in the World and 16th in North America for Demolition & Recycling International’s Top 100 List

August 2021

ISI Demolition expands headquarters footprint
